How much do you raise, out of interest?

We raised a bit over £1.400 on our informal RAB player sponsorship, aimed at the young lads, and sponsor Bateman, Burgess and Southernwood as a result.

You guys seem to do it a bit more formally, so I'm wondering what we might have a chance of if we did likewise?

Tvoc, you have far too much time on your hands.

Surprised me - I'd assumed you had a lot more members than that and raised a lot more than that. Genuinely.

Yet we went from about 50 (@ £20) to over 70 different individuals in our first two years, so that suggests other factors at play?

I suspect you'll have seen a mix of the novelty wearing off, and a degree of complacency following Leeds' major success in recent years? Does that make sense? It would mirror much of what we saw at Bradford after the early SL years.

Whereas we could see our club on the ropes, and the moneybags at Wire and Hudds picking off (or trying to) our stars of the future, and realised something needed to be done? Something that has continued with Bullbuilder and its fundraising for the academy.

I'm sure a lot of it is down to how much the fans think the club needs the money?

There are 100 shares up for grabs (call it 99 after I have my own) at £10 each. As TVOC points out we've struggled in recent years to hit the 100. We don't make any money on this and aim to just break even (covering the costs of the photographers). Costs are roughly;

£300 - Player Sponsorship
£235 - Sponsors Badges
£ 50 - Postage & Packing
£250 - Annual Photographers Charges

£835 - Total

Therefore we need to sell 84 shares for me to not lose money running the site each season (providing we don't pay more in player sponsorship as we have in the 'boom' years when we sponsored Matt Diskin and Wayne McDonald).
