TBH I think it's all a fuss over nothing. He had a petulant kick, but that's all it was. It was an utterly stupid thing to do and cost Wigan plenty in terms of the game, but I think that Alibert and the RFL have got it right.

I do think though that Tomkins was lucky that it was McGuire he kicked and not someone who would have knocked him out over that. Putting your leg in like that and then turning your back on the man, there's about 11 players on our side who could've put him in hospital for that.
