having watched the sky game twice more the bias gets even worse from all 4 of them

now a wire player tonight told me ablett said something about lees family in the incident and that is why all the forwards piled into him minutes later that yorkshire rag league weekly was biased in its reporting as well this morning and had many letters from irate loiners well tough leeds were offside at every play the ball and were lying on all game but no one mentions that hemmings urko clarke and wells will get lee banned but what the hell we get myler back

And you are an accountant? , I presume in Warrington the qualification is not as stringent as other parts of the country.

I doubt it was because he said something that they ran in. It's what happens in almost every fight.

The only one who i could see running in with any conviction was Harrison at Bailey, most of the others were just there to back Briers up.

Dont wanna pee on your parade,, But spoke to Eddie at length recently at a function and he is quite cleary a fan of warrington. But I suppose he has to look impartial on the TV I do wonder what he has got against Briers though .

Eddie is sort of a fan of Widnes but lives locally and is President of the amateur club I lam involved with... which is in Warrington. He doesn't have an axe to grind.

However I think there are issues between the Sky team and Tony Smith stemming back to some comments made by them a few years back.

PS Hemmings is surprisingly tall.

You really believe that whatever Ablett said to Briers was heard by any of the other players?
Briers didn't like the manner in which he was tackled, who would?, regardless of whether it was legal or otherwise.

It stems back to his time as England manager and the World Cup in Aus.

They slated Smith on Sky, they were saying things like "he can't control the big players" "he only looks after his Leeds boys" "he can't get unity in the camp" "he let's the players do what they want" "why does he let the players dress down and not in suits"...then after we lost against Australia someone said in the after match pitch interview something along the lines of "are you going to take the blame for this unacceptable showing in the World Cup?" to which Smith said something like "i'm surprised and let down by that question i expected more from you".

Since then he's never been open with Sky, doesn't really engage with them in interviews or anything.

I don't recall any such questions which you have listed in the 2nd paragraph, certainly not by Eddie or Stevo anyway.

I do recall England being built up by the media to make a real impact, but struggling through the group stages. This inevitably put pressure on Smith and as a result looked very, very uncomfortable when interviewed and asked for reasons for the perceived lower than expected level of performance.

I really think that some of you are making an issue that just isn't there.

Something happened a lot more recently than that, I recall Smith referring to some comments made by the SKY team about Warrington in an after match interview and he was clearly pretty wound up.

It was after the magic weekend match against Widnes, I think. Bill Arthur was commentating on the game, and afterwards, TS was being interviewed and he said he would watch the tape back and enjoy it as there would be someone different giving out a different viewpoint of the match. It was a thinly veiled attack against Eddie & Stevo methinks.

Don't know about things getting worse on Sky, but what you did makes me cringe. The poor bloke is entitled to a bit of privacy.
