Armi was a real favourite down at Craven Park during 2007 and 2008 and it caused a real stir when he was released after we were promoted. I don't think he ever showed the same form at Leigh, but then again it was a higher level than he'd played at with Barrow.
Should be a good signing for us if he's offered a contract.

In fairness to Dave, he played most of 2009 carrying an injury from a pre-season friendly. He went on to have a better season, in a better team, in 2010. He just didn't fit into Ian's plans, I suppose - plus he said he was going home. A nice guy - good luck to him at Barrow. (he was Championship One player of the year there, wasn't he?)

He saw me and Wurzel on the train after the Challenge Cup final in our Leigh shirts, woke Wurzel up, had our pictures taken with him, Matty Blythe and a Barrow player I didn't know and then had a beer with him. I'd post the picture but every time I try to it doesn't work.
