Geoff, what you say about cost it is very pertinent...
Neil Hudgell did confirm on Radio Humberside earlier in the week that the club are still committed to a statue for 'Flash' and having spoken to Neil about this before I am told that the club still hold those funds. In light of all the obvious talk of a statue for Roger it would be an ideal opportunity in the very near future for the club to comment officially on the matter though....

[iRovers, who now with the North Stand complete and with long awaited council permission, are also expecting to press on with a statue to Peter "Flash" Flanagan, hoping the council's support can result in a fitting memorial being confirmed in the near future.
Hudgell added: "We also need to be mindful that at long last we have permission to locate a statue to Flash Flanagan in the North Stand.
"We will be looking to raise the final part of the funding for that project in the near future."[/i
