Bury travelled with 4 first-choice (and our biggest) forwards and 2 first-choice backs missing, and with a very lightweight and depleted side gave a good account of ourselves. With only 1 prop we didn't take a backward step against a very large Waterhead side, though their size and fitness told in the end and Bury picked up several injuries. Frustratingly, based on these performances I'm sure we'd have given a much closer game with a full squad though to be fair Waterhead didn't play their best game. I was out injured today, praying I'm gonna be good for next week.

Some close results today: Newton seem to have switched on, and Chorley with an improved result. Very good effort from Eccleston. Seems Wild Boars were put under a lot of pressure against a good Hindley side.

Think the match between hindley and wild boars ws ruined by the ref today. Wild Boars leading 13-12 after 50 mins the game could of gone either way. Discipline from both teams was shocking at times. hopefully next week will be alot better of a game both discipline wise and referee wise.

Our game at Rochdale was very close, and in all fairness I think we should have won it had it not been for some bad refereeing (and yes I know it was the same for both teams)

We where 20-6 down at half time, came back to make it 20-18 and where awarded a penalty in front of the posts, the ref was asked what score it was, his reply 20-18 so we went for the 2 points, after the kick the ref then told us it was 22-20, so when we thought it 20-whatever it was really 22-whatever.

When we went in front we where put under immense pressure, and at that point 22-26 the game was in the balance, after a couple of back to back sets on our line Rochdale scored and converted to make it 28-26. After the conversion we where told there was 1 min 45secs left, we kicked off, ball went dead for a drop out, the ref then said there was 30sec left, I don't know where the other 1 minute went. We then win a scrum after a Rochdale hand knocked the ball down, and before we an form the scrum the ref blew up.

Apart from the poor refeering, again for both sides, it was a very good game to be involved in and if Rochdale could learn to defend as a team and not individuals they would be very difficult to beat

Yeah was a good game, the ref was awfull.....It was never a high Tackle

This league has turned out better than i thought it would, good end to the season now!!!!!!!!

We were supposed to be playing them up until about thursday morning. All i know is they said they couldn't put a team together, but i don't know how true that was.
