MATCH REPORT : The contest proved to be a tight affair in the first twenty minutes with the Giants proving to possess a robust defence. The dam was broken in the second quarter of the games as Whitfield and McGifford scored splendid tries for the Saints. Luci McColm landed one conversion to save the Saints a 10 points to nil lead at half time. The second stanza witnessed the Saints stepping up a gear, scoring a further five tries from Sutherland, Crowl, Hook, Woosey and Darcy Stott. Luci McColm converted three of these touchdowns to give the Saints a 36 points to nil scoreline as the final hooter sounded. |
