The Council have with drawn their offer of £2million for GH & it looks like it will be going to build the concrete jungle what is proposed at NM, so much for fairness in the WMDC area, if your name does not start with a W your on your own

we got offered it :/ we couldnt use it so fair enough. Our problem not Wakey Council's.

If they give Wakefield 4m, they owe both Cas & Fev 4m for redevelopments too.

A friend of mine who sits on the planning committee told me several weeks ago that the financial assistance for the new stadium development was being removed due to the WMDC financial shortfall. This was not just for Cas but for Wakefield as well.



Lets wait and see.

Exactly, both clubs got offered the same deal.

I heard this a while back and that it applied to BOTH clubs.

If that's correct it's bad for both clubs, so has you say we will have to wait and see,

So why not announce both together?

WMDC have to cut 98 million from somewhere. Nothing for any of the 3 clubs i'm afraid.

The offer to WTW is tied up in the S106 agreement which is a legally binding document, it's not so easily removed and I doubt it will be as the legal process would have to be paid for by WMDC

I will concede I could be wrong The Pink 'Un, but I didn't think that a section 106 would bind a council to provide funding to a project.
