The challenge is this is a sporting organisation that needs success on the field to grow and develop the brand/organisation.


As an observer looking in it seems the commercial personnel are far more proficient than their counterparts on the rugby playing side.


We must also put things into context - this is a SME of modest revenues and profits.  


This business cannot progress to the next level with a team that regularly fails to even make the playoffs.

Every time he is SKY he refers to how the golden generation did things - he needs to move on to the reality of how RL is coached/played these days

His role as CEO will have nothing to do with how RL is Coached/Played that's why we now have a Director of Rugby.
