As for Franny - if he is up to fitness then i'd consider him for a 60mins stint - he owes the club a lot so it will be interesting how the next 6-8 weeks go with him. |

Cant say I actually wanted him back but if were paying for him and he counts on the cap then we might as well have him available, especially as we look paper thin on cover for the outside backs, we had a standoff on the wing in the last game and that isnt a good position to be in imo.

Two things. If he was "up to fitness" he'd be able to play the full 80. Secondly, why would you play a winger for only 60 munutes. You'd have to have a winger/back on the bench and that would significantly impact our forward capabilities. We'd be a prop lite on the bench.
Good to have him back but he doesn' deserve to be near the squad until maybe Hull at home over easter.
He shouldn't just walk into the team. he needs to prove that:
A) He is fit. Mentally and phsyically.
B) Up to date with Potters plans/training stuff etc
C) He deserves it. Armstrong is doing fine, until he plays badly then he stays in the team. |
