| Yawn, this has been done to death. Everyone in their heart of hearts knows Widnes will/should get the nod, if they don't... well I don't think I will be visiting this website for a while, either because the site will probably crash due to too much traffic or there will be so many dummy spits and toy throwing going on it will be like 2 year old's on pro plus and steroids (don't know where that came from  ) |

Widnes will get the nod on Thursday as they are the best placed of the three clubs (based on the specified criteria) so we shouldn't need to worry about the site being swamped by angry Widnes fans.
Widnes are so clearly ahead of the other two that if (and that is a very big if (I don't think it will happen)) Fax or Barrow were to be named as the promoted side on thursday then to me it would just say that two teams were coming up, not one (with two therefore being relegated) and that Widnes would get the nod in July and that the decision had been made to name the other club now to give the weaker of the two clubs being promoted more time to get ready for the step up. |

Well personally I'm glad to see so many fans so sure we are in this time round , just wish I had there confidence . I have not now and to be honest have not for most of my life had much respect for the workings of our sports governing body or there honesty for that .
I will believe we are in when its announced and not before .

Halifax RLFC has made great strides on and off the field, they have made 2 grand finals and are the current champions, added to this their infrastructure now includes youth development, a completed main stand, with excellent match day facilities, the club has also increased its community work and the club is marketed well as a whole. Halifax RLFC also meets the minimum criteria for attendances.
However, even though the Stadiums main stand is complete, there is still work to be done to complete the groud fully, in addition to this the Skircoat Stand is old and has restricted viewing. The Club also needs to further develop its youth structure in order to maximise its potential and ensure the development of homegrown talent. It is felt that Halifax RLFC could be an asset to SL, as it has in the past, the Club has a strong tradition and is a founder member. Halifax RLFC needs to continue to work on its fan base and attendances and it is felt that the Club still needs to further develop the points raised and to continue its growth in off the field areas such as finances. The Club just misses out on its application to join SL but is awared a Grade B- (conditional) upon meeting these objectives a further application in the future will be welcomed by the RFL comittee. The Club should feel very proud of the work put in the results achieved, they continue to be a strong member of the Championship and the Rugby League community as a whole.'"
