Big difference between reletively advanced "PLANS" and near completion of stadium eh ?



Before you go spouting off again please get your facts in place.

Are you serious? Were you around during the last bids? Do you think the RFL were killing time when they had to send out stadium warnings last year to those clubs who made it a racing certainty in their 2008 submissions? I will find some links and quotes for you when I next get to my laptop.

Look above me at the quote and you will find out quite clearly you are very wrong.



Unfortunatly building a stadium doesn't happen overnight even for the biggest of clubs in the world, however when you consider we are a small town (takes a lot of time to get the funds needed) I think we are on time to deliver a stadium.

Near completion? You haven't laid a friggin' brick yet. When I talk about stadiums I'm talking about tangible buildings not pretty little plans and photos of Chairmen in hardhats. Come back when your sat in your new stadium seat.

You're missing the point completely, have you even read the thread? We said we had "Advanced PLANS in place to build a stadium" note the key word there is "Plans" like when you "plan" to go somewhere it doesn't mean it is going to happen and the RFL understood that.







We never said this (the real quote is above your last post) so therefore your original post is wrong.



As for the stadium itself we realise there is a long way to go, however our Chairman has reassured us all the funding is now in place and he wouldn't go through with paying all this money for detailed designs and planning as the money could be used in different areas if he wasn't sure it would come through.

You normally come acros as a pretty well informed and reasonable bloke, so i'm not sure if your just doing a spot of fishing, but if you knew the ins and outs of the delays behind the cas stadium you would know that matters outside the control of cas have held back the stadiums constuction, principally the council and health and safety executives talking an age to clear the blast zone on the ajacent site at hicksons. Cas could do nothing about this, nor could they do anything about the recesion which has further slowed things down, whats more they couldnt tell the future. Now cas will begin construction of a new stadium in a matter of months while other bigger clubs have not managed to do the same, and we've done it in the middle of hardsest economic times in decades, with no sugar daddy, no fa cash and only a limited amount of council funding which will be a loan rather than permenant funding. And yet still its seems some people are happy to criticise, despite not knowing the full facts and how much hard work and money that has gone into this stadium already.



When i saw that york may be getting a new ground on another thread i was really pleased for them, why an rl fan would be unhappy at seeing an rl club making progress is beyond me.

The information I keep hearing is that it will be a full stadium, however, the real people who know are those involved with the club. Not the average fan on an Internet forum.
