Quote theredshed="theredshed"I read Salford and Saints are using the same architects - AFL who designed the new Wembley Stadium.
If you open this AFL promotional brochure (link below) and scroll down to page 7 it shows all their clients.

That's pre-tender, as in not yet tendered for, not 'Pretender' as in trying to be something that it's not (note - posted by a Widnes fan, can anyone spot the irony here?)

Technically it's two schemes. One of which is at the pre-tender stage (the stadium build) and one of which the tender has been awarded and will go on site in the next fortnight (the ground remediation, infrastructure and utilities).

| So basicailly they are divving up who is doing what in relation to which company brings the crains, who brings the concrete and who brings the brick? The people who are in charge of clearing the area and leveling it out will start in the next 2 week or so as it already been decided who is doing that?

According to the first tender, the winners of the first contract should have been notified late last year. The post below from a few pages back suggests that is indeed the case (anyone fancy phone the company to ask?)

The 6 month contract for the land remediation work to start March/April has allegedly been awarded to a local company from Irlam. Being sceptical (After several false dawns) I did a quick google search to check a land remediation company existed in Irlam and found a firm by the name of W Maher & Sons Ltd.

I've also been told by the same guy that he knows someone 'in the know' at Bovis (BBC Media City Contractors)... and he apparently said they will be favourites to win the contract from Peel/SCC to start building in September.'"

| From what I have been told the work and building at Media City is a head of Schedule, so this is a good indicator of how Peel will sort out the Stadium.
