After Vegas and Wakey, how we’ve not been revved up to come out and blow away a championship team with fast rugby is beyond me. We looked absolutely clueless attacking their goal line.
God knows what we will produce against Saints next week. I fear another embarrassment and we will all be watching Wellens / Briers with smug faces.
The players are so temperamental and fragile. Something has clearly miffed them and they have switched off.
With Wire, usually when it gets like this it spirals downwards into a slump and a sacking of the coach, then the players start to improve (for a bit). Something in our culture or setup that spans coaches. Maybe look at those players and staff who have been here the longest.
This isn't a blip. It isn't even poor form. It's something else. We looked like we haven't played together.
I hope Burgess can turn it around.
