| Quote WYSIWYG="WYSIWYG"I think you should call yourself Alan "!!!!!!!!" Edge in the programmes :O)
I lost count of exclamation marks in your articles which I always enjoy reading by the way.
I remember at Leigh Grammar School as a 11 or 12 year old newbie bowling to you in the nets on an Open Day one weekend trying to drum up customers. You were really old at least 18!!! and you were the Head Boy!!! :O)
I also remember being told by the rugby teachers, Ted Elleray (fantastic teacher he really looked after me) and Manfred Wilkinson, that you were playing for Lancashire at full back and we watched it on TV.
Exclamation marks were one of the few things I remember from English lessons at LGS! Keith (Ted) Elleray really fired my interest in RU, along with Bev Risman, Eric (Manfred) Wilkinson, Gordon Unsworth and Geoff Tiplady. Keith is not a well man, these days - fighting cancer, but if anyone can fight it, it's him - a wonderful man.
Fantastic days and good memories.
Was Frank in same year as you?'"
Exclamation marks must have been all I learned in English at LGS!!!!!!!! Don't remember Frank - although he shouldn't be upste, as there's a lot I don't remember from those days.

| Alan, is it possible for me to contact Keith (Ted) Elleray. He was my most influential teacher at LGS. He took me home to my Dad as 14 year old boy and told my Dad I needed stitches. I had a hole gouged out in my leg playing rugby. My Dad , a miner, poured disinfectant in the hole and slapped a big plaster on and said "you'll be OK now lad" :O)
As a 15/16year old he loaned me his rugby boots because I couldn't afford any.
Then at 17 I remember (vaguely!!!) how I was knocked out. He brought me round with smelling salts, picked me up, pushed me towards the plaing action and said "get on with it!!" I was concussed for a week!!!
Absolutely brilliant man and teacher. I would dearly love to be able to get in touch with him and tell him how much he inspired me at LSG.

Thanks Alan that is very much appreciated. He is the one teacher who I have always had the wish to see again and thank him. Like I say, he looked after me at school.
My email is: graham@twsremovals.co.uk I am not sure if my PM is working.

| Fantastic Result.
After [ithat [/ijourney they totally deserve it.
The Journey home will probably feel like half the time it took going out.
They should get the best welcome onto the pitch any team has ever got at the LSV when running out v Sheffield.
Wouldn't advise our club to do that again but fortunatly it came off for us, lets hope the players get a decent reward in the next round for all that hassle, they thoroughly deserve it.

Could you imagine any self respecting Leyther being removed quietly from a pelouse ?

| Quote leyther forever="leyther forever"Do we know how long is left? Is the twiter updates as good as live? Its hard to tell from this commenary
Have they scored again or where he crowd just getting excited about nowt?'"
For once it wasn't live because Alastair was texting me and I was then forwarding them on to Twitter and as I was at work I couldn't update it straight away. Given the circumstance I was proud that we could do it at all. Once again thanks for all the kind messages I've recieved it's nice to know it's well recieved and useful for those who can't attend!
As long as it's useful and people want it we'll do it!
Again massive thanks to Alastair for keeping us all up to date! Legend!

| Brilliant service.
Because of the slight delay I had joined the Limoux message board and was about to send a message to a lady called Flanellette!
I wanted her to service me with the score but was saved when Twitter started.

| Asking a woman to service you was risky in English even before you try and translate it into French!

Astonished Alan. In 1963 I was school
detention champion and was given a rousing reception by Westleigh House on them being given the news. Much to Mr Higson's annoyance.
