| Quote Spurry="Spurry"I have read page 1 of this thread and can't be A**** reading anymore, but i can't for the life of me see why Lima is being castigated , every lad who plays RL from U7's is told 'tackle round the legs' , even if a player is held by 2 defenders if his legs are free tackle him to prevent him driving forward, it's one of the first things kids are taught..Lima went into the tackle to prevent a player moving and ended up being sin binned, what a F****** joke'"
Don't worry about it - it's the fad of the new season. No doubt the brainchild of some jobsworth at the RFL.
Like all the previous ones, they'll persist with it for a few weeks, then gradually realise how unworkable it is and casually start to forget about it.
In the meantime of course, the likes of Lee Briers, Jon Wilkin and the entire Leeds team will try to milk it for everything they can.

Ok bad choice of wording on my part he was not "Held" but he was "held" - i.e. he had two players holding onto him so was unaware and vunerable to the player coming in with the cheap shot from the side....now please try and re-read my post again without being minded to misinterpret my point on technicalities.
"Held" = as in ref calls held, tackle over.
"held" = being held onto (i.e. "held" in the same respect as Mozza was (i.e. defenseless) when Cassidy lost the plot and tried to break his jaw)'"
But he was still moving, thus failing both of the criteria you have laid out.

Whichever version of the word held you want to use, he was still moving when Lima joined the tackle, so it's not actually a matter of "technicalities"' it was simply the fact Clarkson was moving forward at the time. Lima clearly tackles around the thigh initially and falls down.

For the jobsworth read Mrs and Mrs H.
I believe Mrs H has now officially complained about last nights referee.
Their pillow talk must be something to behold.

Agreed. Can you imagine anything worse than waking up in the morning and finding Kath Hetherington on your pillow?

The only way I can tell the difference between the two is that Kath can spit further.

FFS what is it they put in the water in Wigan?
Did you even read my original post
F*ck it - you must be right...no Wigan player ever transgresses the rules whereas a hint of a push from McGuire is the worst offence in the history of rugby...this place makes Redvee look like the a home for the open minded intellectual.

Congratulations, mate. You've completed a hattrick.
We already know that Leeds lack dginity in both victory and defeat. You, and others like you, have today managed to prove that they lack dignity when they draw as well.
Over 24 hours have passed, and you're still whingeing on the Wigan message board.
Sorry, but you didn't get the two points. Now man up and deal with it.

| For all the Leeds trolls a simple question: What did you think of Peacock's attack to Sam's head and Senior kicking out and cutting Joel T's head in the CC QF last year, neither of which was dealt with sufficiently ( ie no sinbining or subsequent suspension) as well as Ablett almost taking off Sam T's head in the league game at Leeds in July - again ignored by Ganson ( who then sinbinned Coley for an alleged late tackle on Burrow thateven Eddie said was wrong), although Ablett was subsequently suspended.
The bottom line is Lima tackled Clarkson's leg - not his head!

Before I respond can you tell me which version of the word "held" you want to use this time so we're all clear when your poor whinging is pulled apart yet again?
I've no idea what they put in the water in Wigan as I pay my water bill to Yorkshire Water. Fortunately it looks like the reservoir I get my water from doesn't have the mercury problem yours obviously does.
