| And it'll be about 21 degrees. It's hardly Sahara weather.

Is it too much for the rugby gods to give us just a small run without any injuries being picked up? Even last year we never really had a run with our first choice 17.
Wouldn?t that be nice. We say it almost every year but it is amazing how teams at the top end tend to be healthy more often than not. Regardless though it?s testament to the squad as a whole we can still pick up wins with many injuries. I?m sure the media will focus on Catalans if they have 2/3 missing unlike almost double figures for trinity potentially. Let?s get over there and roll them over. They?re nothing to fear with who they?ve faced in the league so far.
Think Double figures is pushing it a bit . It comes across as all the players that are injured would play That is a bit of the mark will give you Russel in the halfs ( will not pick Trueman think we signed a dud there ) Smith, Russell on the wing ,but would like to see Walmsley given a go The forward from H K R he is a big miss .I would love to see a team with out Griffing in, know Hall and Scott got stick against Cas but did not help with Griffin playing in the second row next to them ,looked well passed is sell date Know he had just come back from injury, but as not impressed all season Just a old forward keep one of our young exciting young forward out of the team . That would mean you'd only count, say, the top 17 players as injured then. What about all their backups that make up the top 25 players? Don't they count when they're injured? And that's what's been happening to us. It's not just that we've had first 17 players missing; we've had their backup players missing over the season so far. Some have only just come back after injury, like Scott & Griffin. Others have got injured again, like Seth, then add him to Stourton, that's 2 of our backrowers out. Both Russells are out who'd be playing now, Trueman's out and even though you band around words like dud, which imo is out of order, when he's a kid who's giving his all for us but ended up with a different injury to the one that he had trouble with before he joined. A dud is someone like Proctor, imo. Trueman's also made us look good when he's played with Lino and makes us look a different side with various ways to attack because of having 2 attacking options, rather than being so forward dominant and thus making us easier to defend against. Then we've got other guys that count like Doyle, who'd be in the side and even Lawford would have been very handy right now. Then it's that knock-on effect with guys who probably haven't had much time forming any kind of partnerships ending up being on the left or the right edge and getting caught out defensively, just due to lack of knowing each other's games, that's happened a few times in the last 3 games or so.

A do not agree would have done .At the end of the day you can only have 17 players in a match .When pundits on TV go on about who are missing, they are on about players who are in the first team all the time .,not a 30 plus squad.

| If we go by your criteria laegend, Trinity have Trueman, O Russell, Nikotemo, Storton, Doyle, and M Russell all out. And it's looking like Harvey Smith will be out too. All of them bar possibly Olly Russell would play in Perpignan this weekend. That's 7, maybe 8 starters. Add Lawford and Shaw, and we're up to double figures. I don't think Trojan saying 'almost double figures' was pushing it. We're missing a third of our squad, and that's significant.
For reference, at the weekend Huddersfield were missing Evalds, Swift, Lolohea, Clune, Woolford, Murchie, Rushton, English, King. 9 of their first 17, so I really do feel for them, but we're not far behind. The difference is our depth, which is no accident from Ste Mills. However, I personally think we've reached our limit in the halves. We have options (Pitts at 6 Cozza at 13 or Jowitt at 6 Rourke at 1), but either is a big drop in quality for us. We can keep playing that way for a couple of weeks til we get Trueman back, but it's not sustainable if Trueman aggravates his back again.
Just on Trueman - if you're going by number of games played, then so far Trueman hasn't paid off. But if you're going by effect on the team when he plays, he was still a good signing IMO. If he's out for most of the season, I'll agree with you and say he was a dud. But not yet.

I don't think Trueman is a "dud" he's a very capable SO but, if we're seriously wanting to make an impact we really need another SO on the books. How I wish Galey was a couple of years younger! I wishwe could pick one up from somewhere reasonably cheap who could help us long while Trueman is out - I bet DP does too!
