| Quote cool4kats="cool4kats"how can you miss out korkidas. he was our best prop last week by a country mile as was said by an earlier poster. mc carthy can be a bit dodgy with the offloads although higgins off loaded 3 times last week and all 3 attempts went to the opposition. we need our biggest and nastiest this week with all the aggression they can muster. t.w.a.s'"
In all honesty I think Korkidas turns his back a little too often when running back the 10. In the games I have seen he needs to run with a bit more aggression and from deeper, this only seems to happen the odd run. Korkidas should be our bully up front. I missed last week game through work so wouldn't know how he went.

| Quote vastman="vastman"So basically you agree 100% with what I said
'"
Funnily enough no. Read it again.
Quote vastmanKear IMO sends the players out with these basic tactics because he knows we have nobody on the pitch other than perhaps Rinaldi on a good day with the nouse to make anything better work.'"
What I said is:
Quote vastmanEven with Brough, Obst, Latu, Rooney and Drew in the side we still used the same one out tactic that we use today. '"
Kear sent the players out with basic tactics even when we had flair players in the team. He uses the same tactic with or without creative players and has done for years, ask the Hull and Wigan fans. One out rugby is a tactic he has adopted throughout his time at BV, before his time at BV, and at no stage has he used it as a substitute for creativity, it's always been a feature of our play.
I'm not knocking Kear, it's dull to watch, but suits our team down to the ground right now and is the best form of grinding out a result as has been proven this season. I did object to it when we had a more attacking side, but to say his hands are tied with the current crop is an understatement. Hat's off to the bloke for sticking around, I fear we may have been a lot worse off without him.

| It does appear to be tactical. That’s why a number of my concerns arise from not giving already limited pivots the options of dummy runners or players running varying angles. I suspect even with a class SH he would still have no options, the difference being he would have the ability to conjure up a chance for himself or others.
You have to ask yourself, in the current situation, is a creative SH easier to find than coaching the supporting players to run the angles and provide the support to the incumbent half’s? No one of any genuine, game changing ability will sign for Trinity just now, so while we have to lump what we have got as supporters, it still perplexes me why we don’t seem to give the players at Kears disposal the best possible chance of winning when entering the field of play.

Considering that many view Mr Kear as a master RL tactician, and that he's reported to be one of the most qualified coaches in SL, I am constantly perplexed by our absolute failure to use dummy runners - it's a very basic tactic that my 11 year old is able to grasp and execute with little difficulty.

| Quote quinny="quinny"Vastman reference your opinions above" you dont think he had any intention of playing moore this season" ???
Lets be realistic...they tried signing him previously and not to play in the 20's. From the players perspective would he leave a club going well in championship, top points and try scorer to go back to reserve rugby when he had served his time at Leeds academy and left due to that scenario. although its only scotland he is still an 'International' so would he really leave to go back and play 20's (Which he is actually too old for in reality)I think your assumptions on that subject are complete and utter tosh to be honest. next to be nowhere near ready again lets look at the facts, he has played and apparently dominated the championship in a mid to bottom table team as they have been for a season and a bit,as well as taking them to the NR Cup win. Please note this is a much higher level than Under 20's where many have been promoted into the first team so in reality he has far more experience than the likes of Wildie and Annekin for example. Again Vastman your comments are totally innaccurate.
You talk about BJ but if you actually spoke to coaching staff and get their opinions on BJ it was all the same....no consistency, selective in what games he performed in and generally better performances against weaker opposition.
If you have ever played at any kind of level you would not come close to understanding the speed, fitness and intensity required for Super League, so these young kids will all need time to adapt and to grow into more experienced players to succeed at this level, and rather than slate them you should maybe back them and understand they will not become world beaters over night. It is far easier to draft young inexperienced kids into a top of the table team like wigan than a makeshift wakey side.'"
You clearly consider yourself an expert, sadly I think you are not and consider your comments in this case poor.
I also think you didn't read my post properly, which comes as no surprise.

| Quote Tricky2309="Tricky2309"Your missing the point. Stopped reading after that, no point debating anything with you.

Thats the problem you don't actually debate you just make comments without explaining why you disagree with someones view. You might not agree with what I say, but at least I try and explain the reasoning behind my opinions.

I clearly know a damn sight more than you do as your 'Assumptions' are so off the radar its not funny.
This site is full of utter tosh, rumours, opinions and occassional people in the know with certain situations.
unfortunately in this situation yours is the first of these.
