Do we need Sutton now we've signed Knight, Eseh and Watts?


I'm pretty sure he has aussie citizenship now and his wife is expecting

He isn't good enough unfortunately and what seemed like a canny idea of picking up an amateur player a couple of years has fizzled out

Think I agree, would have  taken him at the start of the season but with the props we have now and the signings we have made, I'm not sure he is worth signing, would be very expensive too.

I can't see watts being much use next year and obviously we'll lose knight so we need another big body but I don't think sutton would offer value for money.  I can see rovers signing him

I don't blame people being skeptical when he was brought in. Given the circumstances at the time I think the concerns about nepotism were valid, and it was a huge challenge for him to take on. However, 9 months on (or however long it's been) I think he has hardly put a foot wrong. Sure a couple of his signings will likely go down as duds, but there's no club in the world who gets it right every time. The Cartwright appointment looks like a brilliant one. He's put together a much deeper and more professional looking back room team. Working with Cartwright they've managed to put together a pretty good squad given the constraints and how hard a sell the club was. Most importantly it feels like the club and the fans are connected again. 

With watts, knight and Esseh only here until the end of the season, plus losing a couple of the young forwards. I'd be all for getting Sutton in, as long as hes fit and ready to go.Bit of strength in depth in the front row.
