Don't wish to sound negative, but hope they've made some serious improvements to the gameplay, the others were pretty poor playability-wise IMO.





Still, as we can only dream of an EA Sports RL game I guess it's nonetheless good news.

I agree, I remember playing a friend and it was a really close match, Was great till i side stepped his player, who then started running on the spot and then anouther dived through my player and i scored lol.

Gotta say the union game Jonah Lomu Rugby is still unbeatable for gameplay.

Pre-ordered today from GS, they say November release. I'll be happy with RL2 gameplay as I thought it was fine. Far better graphics would make it a winner.

I loved that game.

Codemasters just got so many things right - kicking, passing, side-stepping, running good angles, it was as close to a perfect rugby game as you'll ever get. For anyone with a PS3 which can play PS1 games its easily worth the 2 or £3 you'll pick it up for on that popular auction site.

Odds are this will be delayed in the UK just like the wii rugby game earlier this year. It has certainly been kept quiet by the developers who denied there would be a RL game on the 360 or PS3 so either it has been in development for a while or it is a rush job. Lets hope it is the former.



Also agree Lomu was an outstanding game and still stands up well now.

Personally I'll never be able to shake a feeling of apathy for upcoming RL games until EA Sports finally do one (which I know will never happen). Why can't they just take a chance and make one ffs.



When you look at the games they've made in the past (e.g. Nascar Racing?!!

), surely it wouldn't kill them to test the water.





Hopefully this will be a great game, but will always wonder what the greatest sports game brand could produce with the technology and knowledge that they have.





Can't believe I'm saying this, but would always be cool (in a way) to have Eddie & Stevo do commentary for a change.
