It shouldn't happen, folks make mistakes but it's far too often for the men in the middle, there is no consistency.
It's about time the RFL tried to recruit ex-players into the ref role, It would mean the guy with the whistle used to play the game so firstly knows what to keep an eye out for.
Secondly the players would have more respect for someone who has played the game
And finally the referee would be able to interact better with the players making the respect mutual.
It happened in the Wigoon vs Weeds game too, the fool in the middle was gonna let the grapple on Mossop go until Joel Tomkins took matters into his own hands by trying to smack J-Jones Bucanan.
He pulled em both out , warned JJB for the grapple and told Tomkins to let him take care of incidents like the grapple, thing is he wasn't gonna penalise owt till a full scale brawl nearly erupted (pity it didn't mind you) just kidding!!
ATEOTD these refs are full time and need to have some accountability for what they are doing, they make a mistake and the next week they are on the telly again or reffing a big derby game!!

As you can see I am not a Hull fan and nor am I a Hull K.R. fan, I am a rugby fan and hate to see the game ruined by Incompetance.
