Brough is real class for me, great kicking game and has added more to his running in the last few seasons.

He's just an arrogant little prat with a pan-face and a really stupid "fan club". A few years ago during one particular beasting we have now got used to, I remember him scoring at the 'Pharm in front of the away fans and doing that footballer thing of turning his back to us and pointing to his name on the shirt with both hands. Proper grated on me.

(For what its worth I'd have him at Hull any day of the week and twice on a Friday) The halves are the heartbeat of the team and have a massive influence on a teams performance and balance, so in answer to your second question, London with Thurston and Lockyer at the helm would be well up their challenging for honours though probably not winning things.

Unless you have good backs and a good pack adding to good HB's then you wont win things. The pack lay the platform, the backs run the lines, yes you need the backs to finish it but the team that wins things doesn't necessarily have the best pairing.

Apparently you weren't asking questions so not sure I should respond (or would that be pedantic!!) but I guess deep down I'm agreeing with you with an added caveat that you can have the best pack and set of backs but without the half backs to bring it all together you won't win jack. A world class halfback will lift a team to greater heights, on his own, than a world class prop would. Thinking Peter Sterling at Hull and Brett Kenny at Wigan in relation to Les Boyd at Warrington

We've not had a Dobson leaving imminently story for a good, what, 3 months? He is exactly what Saints need though. As already referenced in this thread when he becomes available in 2014, there'll be plenty of clubs in the queue, so advisable to get a long contract extension in front of him sooner rather than later.
