anyone who has watched rugby league since the 60's who is honest will say that alexander the great is the best scrum half of all time..................the only one who could come within a country mile of him was roger millward.

Roger was a different type of player & played mostly at stand-off..........i'd say Andy Gregory was the closest to a 'proper' scrum half.

Roger Millward for me but I was too young to see Murphy play. Seems a very long time since we had a decent creative scrum half who can control a game in the UK.

Shocking that Paul Deacon is yet to figure in this debate.

Gregory, Millward & Edwards all brilliant but Murph was better by some distance.

Don't know if this is limited to British players only, but Peter Sterling, Andrew Johns and Stacey Jones must be up there.
