I'm looking at getting a mini bus from the Barton Arms in Worsley on game day, if there are other people interested I could look at getting a 12 seater to flesh the cost out some more.

You're the first person who's shown any interest so I'm not entirely sure it would be cost effective.

That said a return from Eccles - Warrington is £8:30 which seems more than a little steep.

Cant wait for this myself and its on a Saturday so even better, Huddersfield was on Saturday last year and was a belting day, although the result played a part! 5 of us going, 2 that don't normally go but going because its on a Saturday and it an all dayer in Warrington and no work next day! check the small print: Warrington is outside Gtr Manchester and may not be covered by the £4. i used to be able to use a £4 from Rochdale to (such as) Hebden Bridge but suddenly there were two tickets: Gtr Manc and West Yorkshire... now more expensive.

I buy the ticket to use on journeys from Warrington on a regular basis with no problems.

The samll print states: Valid on day of issue on all First buses within Greater Manchester, including service 100 to Warrington.

Thanks ... nice to know that First aren't cutting back everywhere. THe bus route I referred to was quite well used even outside the morning/evening rush. It still is but few pay full if any fares.
