| Hi guys, can you give me a few recommendations of bars in Wigan town centre to hit on a Saturday night,as im staying over with my partner for the night before the game. Not looking for any " chav " stylie bars as at 42 not my scene  just decent bars for a decent night out.

You can't go wrong with;
(Visit in order) Bentley's > Vodka Revolution > Ibiza Bar > Walkabout
All on King Street.
Although the usual ''The whole of King is chavvy'' etc etc posts will follow , the bars mentioned are probably your safest and most popular amongst normal, non-chavvy folk.

Cheers for that ABP', seems like a good start to the night for me, we are staying at marus bridge, so i take it its a short taxi ride to town, just so we arent taken 10 miles for a 3 mile trip or whatever

Best night of the year is in Wigan (no not when Wire are in town) Boxing Day, it's brilliant.
King St is a good night out, good police presence, all the Bouncers are professional and all linked up together, clubs are big and varied. top night all round
