Just a thread to get away from some of the MASSIVE overreactions by some posters on here



Does anyone have any wierd superstitions as a fan that have been working this year??

I have a black t-shirt which i wear under my FC hoodie and either of my FC shirts on top of that. The t-shirt is unwashed and will remain that way until i witness a defeat... i also wear the same shoes and jeans each week. (underwear does get washed cos thats just gross)...
I missed the Crusaders game and couldn't go last night as it was my birthday and i was out for a meal



With regards the team FC have not yet won when wearing the away shirt in fact they've lost 2 out of 2 in that shirt and all wins in the black home shirt!!

Or, maybe i'm the lucky charm?? When i go.... we win !!

Home games..

Lambwarth for carvery (mind done that for the last few years

)

Pint of Woodpecker in Brickies (mind you done that for years

)

Sit in same seat (done that for years

)

Pray (done that for years

)

To answer no however I have a routine which make no difference!

Just going to the games. I went to Saints... we won
I went to the Huddersfield game.... we won
I couldn't make the Crusaders game..... we lost
I went to the Quins match................we won
I went to the Cas match.................we won
I couldn't go last night..............we lost

I only wear my shirt on matchdays to keep it sacred.

I only wash the shirt when we lose - keeps the luck in when we win, washes the bad karma away when we don't. Normally, I only have a home shirt, but my Dad, no doubt stifled by trying to hold his breath after a good couple of games has bought me an Away too this year, so if we do a 2006 it will be bearable for all concerned.

I noticed the away shirt thing as well (although we beat Sheffield in it, I'll stick strictly to SL games).

I've won a bet at every home game as well. So as long as I keep predicting us to win at home games, we'll be undefeated!

Used to have superstitions but they never work

I only wear my shirt on game days.
Always get a programme.
Missed the only games we've lost this season.
Berro, fitz and Yeamo are my 1st try scorers every week with 1 from the opposition ( for the record i didnt get to bookies yesterday but i was having the usual 3 plus Richards for Wigan

never mind)
Always Booze before a game.
Thats about it for me, oh and never feel confident on derby days

always take a dump before I sent off down the motorway , not a matchday superstition but a good idea considering Thursdays and Saturdays are curry night respectively so best not to take a trump for granted with the kids in the car huh
