Not wanting to appear a tw@ but £9.70 is not divisible by 3. I appreciate this might come across as aloof, but perhaps what you were charged to start with was a mistake?

He might have bought 3 different drinks,ie lager,cider and bitter.

I believe they have to have a price list on view and have to notify you of any price change. I don't believe they can legally do that.

I was told before the game that prices are cheaper for drinks served before 7pm then after that time it goesa up. This came from a member of the bar staff

are they allowed to price list beers at the higher (normal) price and reduce it for a few hours before the game to get folk in - kind of a promo offer? maybe this is what they are doing
