Looking at SEB's squad post at the top of the forum both Louis Anderson and Ben Westwood are out of contract next year.

Given that they have both been in great form and key members of our pack, I would hope that Mr Moran & Mr Smith get the contract pen out ASAP.



(Unless of course they have already re-signed in which case I have egg on my face)

I've not heard anything that they've signed but it'll be something look at in the off season. Biased but the best Second Row in SL at present.

I think Louis gets better and better each week.

1. Is younger the Landerson

2. Can play at a similar or better level to Landerson NOW

3. Is available now without paying over the odds

Louis is and has been awesome for us.

I agree with FB on this...Louis is in top form at the moment...must be signed on again.

Landerson has been awesome this season. One of the first names on the team sheet IMO.

People forget how young Louis is because he seems to have been around for a long time.



As a 2nd row he's really developing and this season has been his best.

Louis Anderson must not go anywhere. I would be surprised if there weren't a few NRL clubs interested though, he's a fine player. No idea what Wirral Wire watches.

3 year deal for both if poss.

Matt king is a keeper defo he's such a good player it would be a shame for him to go anywhere!!!!

Westwood has been around long enough to prove himself consistently but with Louis Anderson I'd rather wait to see how he shapes up at the start of next season before offering a new deal this far in advance. We've had it before with players when there has been a big clamour to re-sign them on long deals and then for whatever reason they've not been the same player and played out a couple of average seasons with us while we wait for their contracts to run out....Graham Appo, Brent Grose come to mind.



The problem as well with resigning them at this stage when they are in good form is they would be in a good position to negotiate increases in salary so we would have to make compromises somewhere else on the salary cap, if it means releasing one of the fringe players like Cooper to stay under the cap then we need to make sure these players are going to be worth it.
