| Just been to watch the reserves against Wigan, we were totally outclassed, both teams turned out reasonably strong teams, but i expected us putting up a better show, i came off at 48-0 i think it was , we had Morty ,Ridyard, Higson, Meekin, Hopkins, playing ,but looked slow against the Pies lads ,including Pryce ,Bailey, and Goulding, hope we shape better tomorrow?Morty ,doesnt impress me .

| i agree but that is a very very good wigan side. Pownall looked a better option at fullback and had more impact there than mort.

| we held them well second half but the first 20 minutes ruined it as a contest, then again though with the talent Wigan had on show they should have beaten us by more, i'll bet that at least one of those players 'wage' is more than we are paying the entire squad.

| No disgrace in that game at all for the Leigh lads. Defence was at sea first half when Wigan ran in 7 tries, it was much improved in the second half. Wigan named a stronger team against our Reserves than they did against our first team.
There was some very young players on show for Leigh and I felt in the second forty the lads dug in well and fashioned a couple of breaks aginst a good Wigan team that would probably sit top four in the Championship.
We were unlucky not to claim two tries.

| No surprise there after how they played against us ,they will probably go through most of the season unbeaten.

| Went today, thought our lads did very well against a strong Wigan team, seeing the score line was close against our first team! Thought Higson tackled himself to a stand still, he even had words with Mr Price. Ridyard did well with his kicking. Lets hope the 1st team tomorrow put the same effort in!!

Wasn't the same team at all it was a lot stronger than they sent to us, the team they played today would have been a better test for our first team.

| I blame Morty, every point was his fault! Even last week at York he lost the game for us just by sitting in the stands watching. The week before v Oldham he nearly lost us the game, no reason he just did that's all.......Against Wigan he abused a ball boy! etc, etc.
All his trys are lucky, all his kicks are lucky and a career tally of nigh on 300 points is a fluke. In fact i blame the current economic recession and all the global troubles on this lad.
Now as you can tell i am rather "tongue in cheek." For Gods sake give the lad a break! Ok , he hasn,t made the best of starts, but then again tell me who as? I happen to know Morty pretty well, and if you look back at my previous posts i was involved in his development as a junior player. Believe me when i say that nobody will be working harder than this lad to get things back on track. Negative criticism imo as no place in sport.

| makes one wonder if all those critics could do better?
Negative criticism is destructive. positive criticism is productive.

| And some of the criticism is down right nasty. I have to say having had to deal with a very delicate son any kind of criticism can be upseting for certain people and should be confronted and handled with care. I hope the club have someone who deals with this and that the old saying that "you are a professional now son and you have to deal with it" is not the only road that is taken.
