I see he was playing in the reserves last year. As was Worthington who I think might've looked alright in Super League.

Without the loans & Sam, it all looks a little threadbare.

Deadcowboys1:Without the loans & Sam, it all looks a little threadbare. You’re right that it’s very threadbare, especially considering only naming 18 in the squad. It'll be a tough ask against Batley who are always gritty. If no late reinforcements get added before Sunday, it may be a case of battening down the hatches and hoping the 18 stays fit through the 80.

| You just think roll on the new owners to get us another back and, say, 2 forwards. Or if we could only have kept a couple from last year- Kennedy and Natoli maybe.
I keep wondering what Daniel Hindmarsh is up to as well.

| Seems a little odd that we have DR deals with 2 Superleague clubs but no players from them. Maybe we've run out of money or all injured.

| Also interesting but as of this moment, no Cakeman interviews with Jake for 6 days. While it may or may not be significant, it is unusual.

| Gutted doesn’t do my feelings justice! Should not have lost that one today. Thought the players all worked their guts out- no loanees so just down to our core players, none of them gave less than 100%. The forwards, especially Bienek and Sid were outstanding I thought, Poloselli worked his guts out in the middle.
Was concerned when we conceded early but we got into our stride after a while. Spent long periods camped on the Batley line but we didn’t have the killer pass or kick to put us in to score- deserved to be level at the break. Long periods again in the second half but on several occasions that killer pass or kick was missing. Taking the two looks to have been a mistake in hindsight- don’t know if the players switched off a bit but we weren’t wise to Batley’s short restart. Got caught out twice on the same wing in the second half. Exciting game, good atmosphere- but we shouldn’t have lost it.
Just as a BTW, how many times did Batley tackle high? Plenty of those went unpunished too.

| Couldnt convert pressure into points. Batley are a very, very big team and their 7 had a good game and a good kicking game. We should have won and defended very well except about 4 times when we clocked off and they cut through us like the world beaters they clearly aren’t. These are the games we need to win if we want mid table so the result is a concern.

| Maddening wasn't it? Maybe result of having a kid at half. Just not quite enough nous.
Was Stock injured early too? Didn't help.

| I am very disappointed to lose in that way. We should have held on, but hey ho. What I cannot understand is, why do we not pass to Liam Tindall, he was the fastest man on the pitch, yet he hardly saw the ball.
